Description

This is a very old photo, taken when I was around 10 or 11. Maybe even 9... I was in 4th grade, I think. Anyway, I visited the San Juan Islands, and made friends with this girl. She said that she wrote messages on the beach with shells/kelp/wood so that it could be washed away and have its message carried to the mermaids. So we made some messages together. (The mermaids would also respond back, according to her.)

Of course, this one I made myself. OR DID I?
